The thyme of the event is to attract people interested in the historical use of the outdoors. Hunting, fishing, trapping, camping and wildlife conservation.
The Lake County Fair Grounds located in beautiful Western Montana will be dedicated to the event. We have several buildings for inside vendor booths, the main buildings are almost full but we still have secured covered areas and some outside courtyard spaces. Tailgaters can setup outside.
Our host Motel, Ninepipes Lodge, is filling fast. They are located about 5 minutes away and offer great accommodations. A special block is available for $140 a night. Primitive RV camping on site is available for $20 a night and a separate area for tent camping.
Some of the Mountain Men Cast will be on hand to meet and greet the public. A mountain man camp and contest will be going on. Trapping demo's will be held both days. Houndsmen will be demonstrating dog health, training and how they can trail a predator. Mountain men will give a seminar on muzzleloader firearms and live fire. The Kids Cave will be home to many youth activates that the families can take part in.
